First Footage from Black Phone 2
The first footage for Black Phone 2 was shown behind closed doors and has yet to make its way online, Discussing Film was on hand at CinemaCon to provide fans with a description.
Finney is now living a gloomy existence, while his sister, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), is having strange visions like in the first movie. As it turns out, the spirit of The Grabber still shares a connection with her, and is hell-bent on continuing to make life a living hell for the two siblings from beyond the grave in both their dreams and visions, much like how Freddy Krueger was able to torment the Elm Street kids in Wes Craven’s classic. There are flashes of a black phone ringing, and “the rest of the footage is pure nightmare fuel,” says the outlet, adding:
“There’s a striking image of The Grabber ice skating towards the camera in slow-motion. It appears that The Grabber has a special connection with Gwen, managing to somehow get a hold of her from beyond, spinning her around in rapid succession as Finney appears to see that image in a phone booth. Without a doubt, it looks even more terrifying than the first movie given its stronger supernatural elements.”
Black Phone 2 to hit theaters on October 17, 2025.
